Meet Our Blogger: Christina

Christina is our lead blogger here at EncinaVet.com. When Christina isn’t blogging for Encina, you can find her doing miscellaneous administrative work for the hospital as the hospital’s Administrative Assistant while working closely with our Hospital Administrator, Angela Linvill. Christina enjoys all things social media and actually also manages our Facebook page, our Twitter page, constructs our newsletters, develops and maintains our website and more! Most recently, Christina completed and submitted her first published article regarding blogging in veterinary hospitals to Webster Veterinary University, and will be a keynote speaker at Blogpaws 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

How many and what types of pets do you currently have? I currently have a German Shepherd named Sasha (please see picture above!), a Clumber Spaniel mix named Rocky (he’s 15!) and 4 cats (Mickey, Frank, Elmo and Rupert).

What is your favorite part about working at a veterinary hospital? I love working at a hospital where literally everyone here – clients and staff – loves animals as much as I do. I’m very lucky to spend my time among people who are all working hard toward a common goal: helping animals and the people who love them.

How do you enjoy spending your free time? This may sound silly but I LOVE organizing things; it’s so therapeutic! When the weather permits it, I like to take my German Shepherd, Sasha, out to Newhall Dog Park in Clayton to play ball with. My boyfriend and I have made it our new year’s resolution of 2012 to try a new restaurant each month and so far it’s been great. I find myself watching a lot of reality television on National Geographic and TLC in my time at home.

Something interesting about you that not many people know . . . I have spent an entire night in Disneyland where I rode rides all night long with no lines. :)
